  17.   Just a quick note since I haven't seen any announcement of
  18. Newtek's "Big Thing":

  20.   Newtek announced a PC Toaster/Flyer box that runs under 
  21. Windows NT or Windows 95.  It is a standalone box that allows
  22. field recording/editing and has an optional "Pro" configuration
  23. that gives the user an LCD Screen for control without any
  24. computer.  If you have a computer, it connects via the SCSI
  25. port.  Lightwave is included.  It is expected to ship 3rd
  26. quarter '95.  (Yeah, sure).  Cost?  $7995.00 (about the cost
  27. of a Toaster and Flyer card at list currently).  Current
  28. Flyer owners will be able to upgrade for $2995 -- basically
  29. the difference in the two systems--very fair.

  36. the list for an announcement, but finally tracked it down
